#8 How to… Sustain governance and risk appetite

About the session

Keeping governance and risk high in mind, not relegated as ‘the boring stuff’, is imperative right now.  This session connects leaders in this shared responsibility, maintaining interdependence.

We identify areas of increased or new risk, and priorities for upholding governance, meeting the longer-term impact of new ways of working. We look at Risk Appetite more than risk management, as this sets the parameters and enables agile decision-making regardless of where people are working.

Who’s this for?

  • Finance Director, Head of Risk and Governance, Company Secretary, Leaders and Trustees.
  • This is effective as a 2-hour active session in cross-discipline groups to tighten the connections overall.
  • Especially successful with a mix of Leaders and Trustees of not-for-profit bodies.

What will you gain?

  • Careful examination of potential risks and priorities for tightening governance, and reinforcing accountability.
  • Making it easier for people to ‘do the right thing’.
